Vancouver entrepreneurs tweak online food service until the price is right

Vancouver — In the last 18 months, Foodee’s monthly sales have risen to $200,000 from $30,000 in part because of wisely adapting their pricing model.
Foodee started out as a way for consumers to order restaurant delivery online. It didn’t catch on. The Vancouver company — spearheaded by Jon Cartwright and nurtured at Invoke Media, which also spawned Hootsuite — negotiated individual discount deals with restaurants and built a tech platform so customers could order online.
