Cooledge deal among $2 billion invested in tech by Canadian VCs in 2014

Canadian tech has a “new class of maturing businesses” as Globe and Mail technology reporter Shane Dingman puts it, and those businesses attracted nearly $2 billion from Canadian VC’s in 2014*. One addition for the Globe’s list of companies that received financing is Yaletown portfolio company Cooledge Lighting which secured more than $20 million last year. As the Canadian tech sector evolves, Yaletown’s focus on filling the emerging-growth financing gap continues to find a great home in Canada and the US Pacific Northwest.
