Calgary, AB – Yaletown Partners is pleased to announce that Nate Glubish has joined the Accelerate Fund II team as Investment Manager based in Edmonton. Accelerate Fund II is Alberta Enterprise’s second early-stage fund announced with a $10 million investment in November. Yaletown Partners manages Accelerate Fund II with The A100.
“We are very pleased to welcome Nate as our dedicated frontline to Alberta’s startup community,” said Brad Johns, Partner, Yaletown Partners. “Nate has devoted much his professional life to guiding investments and championing growth of Alberta technology companies. His experience in evaluating and supporting the success of early stage companies will be a major asset to the Accelerate Fund II team.”
Nate began his career with Foundation Equity Corporation, an investment firm where he rose to partner over eight years. At Foundation Equity, Nate participated in the negotiation and success of more than $40M in technology business investments and stewarded the growth of portfolio companies as a director. He went on to work inside a rapid-growth Alberta equipment business, managing eight acquisition transactions across North America, then chose to return to venture capital to best accelerate the province’s overall growth and innovation.
“I’m excited to work closely with The A100 to discover promising early-stage technology companies in Alberta, and support their growth,” said Nate Glubish. “Our impact should both strengthen the local ecosystem, and generate strong returns for shareholders, as is Yaletown’s custom.”
