July 12, 2021
Yaletown Partners is pleased to report that Foodee, one of its portfolio companies, has been acquired by Sodexo, one of the world’s largest food services and facilities management companies.
Founded in Vancouver in 2012, Foodee is a leading meal and catering platform focused on serving corporate clients. Leveraging its meal planning technology, Foodee connects offices in 15 cities across North America with top local restaurants to create daily and weekly meal plans within each client’s budget, timeline, allergy and cuisine preferences.
Foodee provides off-peak hour demand for its restaurant partners. At the same time, ordering from Foodee encourages the sort of professional development that occurs during lunchtime meetings at the office.
Since 2013, Foodee has served close to 1,000,000 individual meals at a wide range of businesses, ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies such as Apple, Amazon, Comcast, eBay, Facebook, Microsoft and Starbucks.
Yaletown wishes Foodee and Sodexo much success as they expand innovative, contactless delivery options across North America to provide safe, healthy, and locally-sourced meals to workers and support local restaurants.
