October 29, 2019
Yaletown is pleased to announce that Mover, one of its portfolio companies, has been acquired by Microsoft.
Mover offers cloud data migration services between over a dozen cloud storage providers, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft’s suite of cloud-based software-as-a-service products. Its enterprise-focused tools enable large file migrations to the cloud, or between cloud vendors, to be completed seamlessly.
Mover is one of the fastest OneDrive and SharePoint document migrators in the world, setting industry speed records for data migration, making the move into Microsoft 365 as seamless and cost-effective as possible. Mover prides itself on its strong reputation, based on core tenets of security, file fidelity and transfer accuracy.
Yaletown was an investor in Mover’s initial institutional round in 2013. Since then, Yaletown’s investment team served as a trusted advisor throughout Mover’s growth, assisting with the full lifecycle of development including commercialization of their products to growing and scaling in a dynamic market and exiting to a valued strategic partner.
Yaletown wishes Mover and Microsoft much success as they advance Microsoft’s commitment to provide organizations of all sizes with the right tools, people and partners for easy migration to the Microsoft Cloud.
