Based in Calgary AB, Melania is on the team that invests in early-stage Alberta-based technology startup companies as an Investment Analyst for Accelerate Funds II and III. She works with the Accelerate team on sourcing, qualifying, presenting, and managing portfolio companies. As well, she supports the Responsible Investment operations for Yaletown.

In addition to her investing role, she organizes events for the Alberta Founder, Funders and Fortifiers (ABF4) group, a network of women working in technology in Calgary and the co-founder of a young professionals network in Calgary. 

Prior to joining Yaletown, she was a Venture Fellow with DigitalDX Ventures contributing to fundraising, deal flow data and financial modeling. She also has experience in marketing and a background in industry research with Edmonton Economic Development Corporation, and with the Government of Canada analyzing First Nation Economic Development in Alberta. 

Melania completed her Bachelor of Commerce at University of Alberta in 2021 and has completed her CFA Exam Level 1.
