Vancouver, BC, May 1, 2024 – Yaletown Partners has led a Series A financing for Netskrt Systems, an innovative Content Delivery Network (CDN) focusing on improving content distribution in demanding network environments. Alongside Yaletown, InBC Investment Corporation and Credit Mutual Equity participated in the $10M financing. With this investment, Netskrt plans to expand its operations to international markets, including Europe and South America, as well as into the aviation industry.
Netskrt currently offers its edge CDN (eCDN) service in North America and the U.K., enabling Video-On-Demand (VOD) capacities in environments with bandwidth constraints and other network challenges. The Series A raise will allow the company to expand its customer support, engineering, and operations teams; ensuring the great level of service continues for its content distribution, ISP, and transportation customers.
Siegfried Luft, CEO and Co-Founder, spoke to the financing, saying: “This financing marks a significant milestone in Netskrt’s journey, affirming investor confidence in our vision, team, and opportunity for significant growth. The Netskrt eCDN uniquely enables streaming subscribers to view content at the highest quality, in locations ranging from the urban, rural, or remote neighbourhoods, to 30,000 feet in the air.”
Brad Johns, Partner at Yaletown Partners said: “By offering an intelligent CDN solution for the edge of the network, we believe the Netskrt team is ideally positioned to realize significant opportunities in their mission to enable content owners to offer a high-quality viewing experience for their subscribers.”
Yaletown is excited to be supporting Netskrt on its business journey and happy to partner with them on this next phase of business growth.
