November 30, 2017
Yaletown Partners has made the first investment of its new Innovation Growth Fund into Finn.ai, a Vancouver-based technology company that’s developed an AI-powered virtual assistant to help banks and credit unions to better engage with customers.
Finn.ai’s software-based banking assistant utilizes conversational AI and natural language processing to extend banking services beyond the branch to where customers reside. Users can engage with the product though voice or text and across multiple communication channels, including native mobile apps, banking kiosks, home assistants such as Amazon’s Alexa or Google’s Home products, and social channels such Facebook Messenger.
The Yaletown Innovation Growth Fund helps Canadian technology companies to scale and become market leaders. The fund focuses on emerging technology companies that enhance sustainability and productivity for industry and enterprises. Investors in Yaletown’s Innovation Growth Fund include institutional investors such as pension funds, international LPs, family offices, and a number of accomplished tech-sector CEOs.
